Jordan Vera is a Freelance Lighting Designer currently residing in  Sewanee, TN. He is an assistant professor of Theatre Design at Sewanee / The University of the South, teaching courses in Lighting  Design, Scenic Design, Sound Design, and Stage Management. In his design work, Jordan strives to produce new works that amplify marginalized voices and create cultural awareness in the communities they are presented in. Originally from Miami, FL, he received his MFA in lighting from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and BFA from Florida International University.
